Burj Khalifa meets The Shard

The evening reserved by commercial real estate for the conversations that shape what cities become next.

London· 8 September 2026· The Shard· Eve of PTC week
The Evening, Plainly

What's in the room, and how to be in it.

What it is

Around 200 senior CRE decision makers at The Shard for one evening: keynotes, a fireside, structured networking. Built for conversation, not crowds.

Who hosts

RealTimes and its European events team, the people behind every edition of the Dialogue of Skyscrapers since Warsaw.

Who it is for

The room is investors, developers, lenders, architects and operators, kept deliberately small. That's what makes the conversations worth having.

The Concept

What the world's most ambitious buildings reveal about the future of cities.

Every skyline is an argument. The Burj Khalifa argued that a desert port could become a world capital. The Shard argued that a recession-era London could still build vertically, beautifully, and profitably. Dialogue of Skyscrapers puts those arguments in one room and lets the people behind them talk.

Edition I paired the Burj Khalifa with Warsaw's Varso Tower. Edition II brings the conversation to London. The Shard is the new protagonist: Renzo Piano's vertical city above London Bridge, and the natural stage for a night about vision becoming value.

The timing is deliberate. B2BV2V26 lands on the eve of PTC week, when global real estate decision-makers are already in London. One curated evening, around 200 guests, no badge-scanning crowds. The room is the product.

The Series

A dialogue that travels from one skyline to the next.

Each edition adopts a building that changed its city's ambition, and gathers beneath it the people writing the next chapter.
